"Continue the story and knowledge of books" is our original intention and mission to transform CaoJi second-hand book store to CaoJi Book inn. It combines the elements of a book store and accommodation, creating this unique reading hostel. With the blessing of the previous owner, we are ready to greet adventurers from all over the world. The must-see “HOLE” is still here and the massive book collections are also here, all part of your visit. Welcome all reading addicts to come and dream! Our new mission is fun- making friends, falling in love, living leisurely. In addition to reading, we are expecting to explore Tainan with you.
About us
The old-time windows, old telephone poles, cypress doors… We renovated the living areas with many antiques, not just to create a welcoming and interesting space for you, but also to pay attribute to being here in historic Tainan. Every sleeping-nook is your own universe- you can enjoy some moments of solitude after exploring the city all day long. Climbing out of your nook, there is a big public area where you can chat and laugh, cook, share talents, or sit in cozy corners and read quietly. We encourage you to make friends from all over the world in every possible way, feeling the fun to be together through interpersonal connection.

We help you to live here, instead of just serving you. We embrace the concept of “living together”- learn to respect people and respect things that live in the same environment with you. We create an at-home touch and expect to bring you a home belonging in CaoJi.
